Top 6 Best Dry Shampoo
Drug Store Dry Shampoo
Let’s first take a look at the easy to buy brands which you can get in your local supermarket or pharmacy. Most cheap brands are unfortunately full of chemicals which can perform great but aren’t great for your hair for prolonged use. We recommend these brands if you’re on a budget or need a quick back up.
Batiste Dry Shampoo– The bestselling dry shampoo in the UK. The brands is quickly expanding its range with over 7 ranges as well as different colours and finishes to choose from. It’s easy to buy in supermarkets, chemist and online. It does the job very well.
TRESemme Instant Refresh Volumising Dry Shampoo Spray – A great alternative to the Batiste brand. Easily available in supermarkets and for a great price. Performs well without leaving tell-tale white marks with a fresh lemongrass scent.
Speciality Dry Shampoo
These brands are a bit harder to come by as they are only available from luxury online beauty stores. These dry shampoos are usually pricier than the drug store brands, but the ingredients are better quality and perform better. Great options for a splurge buy, or if budget brand just aren’t cutting it for you.
Klorane Oatmilk Gentle Dry Shampoo Spray – A great performing dry shampoo if you can get it for a decent price. IT has a lovely subtle but fresh fragrance. We didn’t feel it required different ranges for hair colours as its pretty much invisible on both light and dark hair. Suitable for everyday use.
Philip Kingsley One More Day Dry Shampoo – This one comes with a price tag but the cost is worth the performance. Not only does it make hair look clean, but it add so much volume to your greasy, weighed down hair. A great choice to add to your beauty wish list.
Evo Water Killer Dry Shampoo – Appears costly at first, but you receive almost double what some brands offer. A lovely salon fresh smell and performs well without leaving a residue. We recommend leaving for a few minute to absorb the oils and then brush through for great performance.
label.m Brunette Dry Shampoo – A great option if you have dark hair and struggle with the white residue some dry shampoos leave. If your hair is coloured brown, it can help cover your roots for a few weeks before your next hair appointment. We found it works well on thinning hair to give the impression of fuller hair.
There are a few brands we thought were worth a mention, although they didn’t quite make the cut. If the above suggestions don’t float your boat then check out these options.
Tigi Bed Head Oh Bee Hive Matte Dry Shampoo – A great dry shampoo when it works, but it’s a bit hit and miss on some hair types. It has a higher tendency to leave a white residue which is easy the brush out, but not great if you’re in a hurry. For this reason it didn’t quite make our top picks, but otherwise a great product which works well.
Toni and Guy Cleanse Dry Shampoo – A great professional brand at a great price. This dry shampoo performs really well, plus it smells fantastic. The downside is that it applies in a huge fog, which is really irritated and probably not all that great to inhale.
